Expiry Rules of Binary Options

Quote provider to Verum Option trading platform is SPOT OPTION Company that has access to world major informational agencies feeding quotes. Expiry prices of assets are calculated based on these quotations. A trader can choose among 4 types of assets: currency pairs, stocks, commodities, stock indices.

The price of any asset from the first three types is calculated as follows:

(selling price + buying price) / 2

Asset price of the type «stock indices» is the last quoted price provided prior to the expiration time. The only exception are 4 assets (S&P500, S&P Future, Nikkei Future, Nasdaq Future). Prices of these assets are calculated the same, as in the first case:

(selling price + buying price) / 2

Buying price (Bid) – the last known price for buying an asset quoted from the provider prior to the expiration time of the binary option.

Selling price (Ask) – the last known price for selling an asset quoted from the provider prior to the expiration time of the binary option.

The last quoted price — the last known price prior to the expiration time of the binary option, it can differ from the buying price or the selling price.

Detailed history of expiry prices of binary options at Verum Option is available here.
